icare confirms refreshed panel of Treasury Managed Fund Workers Compensation Claim Service Providers

icare has appointed a new panel of Claims Service Providers for the Treasury Managed Fund, which provides insurance for over 379,000 injured workers and over 161,000 volunteers across NSW.

Over the last eight months, icare has conducted a comprehensive Request for Proposal process to identify, negotiate and implement a panel of Claims Service Providers for the TMF that have the right capability to support NSW Government agencies and their workers who suffer injury or illness at work.

Throughout 2025, TMF Workers Compensation claims management will transition to the following, confirmed Claim Service Providers:

  • DXC
  • Allianz
  • EML

icare will also manage a small portfolio of TMF claims through a specialist internal claims team.

The new service contracts will help drive sustainable outcomes for the Treasury Managed Fund scheme through:

  • increased quality of service and improved mental health support with reduced caseloads.
  • transparency of performance providing greater visibility of outcomes and the ability to compare performance, enabling agencies to make informed decisions and ensure the best outcome for people with an injury.
  • greater flexibility for agencies over time, with a more competitive panel of providers for the handling of claims management services.

Agencies will continue to lodge their claims with their current Claims Service Provider, until they are engaged in the transition process.

Tony Wessling, Group Executive, Workers Compensation, icare, said "We are pleased to be working with these claims service providers and NSW government agencies to help ensure that people with an injury receive the highest quality care when they need it, helping them return to work and health sooner, our newly refreshed panel will help icare deliver on that commitment."

"DXC, Allianz and EML are highly regarded specialists with a depth of experience across claims management, each with their own unique value proposition, which makes them well suited partners to provide simpler, better care for people with an injury, and improved support for agencies."

Agencies will continue to lodge their claims with their current Claims Service Provider, until they are engaged in the transition process.
