Welcome to the Shine Arts Prize 2024

The Shine Arts Prize has returned and the theme for 2024 is "My favourite things".

The Shine Arts Prize showcases the artistic talent of participants and workers and recognises the role of art in maintaining wellbeing. The Shine Arts Prize is open to Lifetime Care participants and workers in the Workers Care Program.

Entries for the 2024 competition have closed.

This competition is a biannual event and will be returning in 2026.

Categories

Category 1: Visual Arts (including Photography, Digital, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, 3D art and Film or Video art)

Category 2: Music (inclusive of singing, instrumental, or audio)

Category 3: Children under 15 years of age (any art form)

Important information

  • For entries in category 3, the parent or guardian of the child must provide consent on behalf of the child
  • The maximum time limit for film and music entries is 4 minutes. Physical artworks must be under 1.2m wide x 1.2m long x 1.2m high in size
  • Accepted file types for entries: DOC, DOCX, PDF, JPEG, .mp3, .mp4, up to 5MB in size
  • The overall winner is not eligible for individual category prizes
  • Artists can enter up to 2 artworks
  • Artworks entered in the competition will be shortlisted for an in-person exhibition.
