Shine

Shine magazine shares stories, ideas and news for participants of Lifetime Care and Workers Care.

Shine provides participants of Lifetime Care and the Workers Care Program with an opportunity to share stories about life after a severe motor accident or workplace injury. Each issue they can share their unique and moving stories in their own voice.

We hear stories of resilience and rehabilitation, stories from families and carers, heartfelt stories of life before and after a serious injury, and stories of strength and courage.

Shine magazine summer 2024

In this edition of Shine there are themes around the importance of family and community, living life on one’s own terms, and giving things a go.  There is a focus on speaking up for one’s self and others, achieving goals, regaining independence, as well as dealing with setbacks and finding people who can offer guidance or support when needed. We have a feature article about supported self-management through the provider “Living My Way” and how Dr Steve Peterson makes use of this service. We also showcase the Shine Arts Prize 2024 and announce the inaugural Reward and Recognition program for attendant care providers.
